Asgard Musik was conceived in April 1997 as a protest to the local scene that was following the trends of the time. In mid 1997CE Asgard signed our first band, MIRK, and later the same year conducted our first official release. MIRK's Of Spirit And Blood has been received well in the underground, even producing a glowing review from the notorious Nordic Visions. The next few years were quiet, acting mainly as a distro. Activity rekindled in early 2001CE with the signing of THE BLACK DEATH, KILL THE KRISTIANS and NUCLEAR WINTER with numerous recordings released over the following years.

In 2002 Asgard held its first concert, this was to commemorate our fifth year of existence. RECRUCIFYING THE BASTARD has since become an annual event and has been creating noise and terror ever since. This festival is held every Black (Good) Friday.

Asgard Musik is primarily a black metal label releasing bands that we musically enjoy but more importantly are able to support ideologically. BLACK METAL is a war against the monotheistic faiths and the blind followers which preach and propagate such lies. BLACK METAL is not commercial nor is it created for a mainstream 'normal' audience. BLACK METAL is not 'pretty' 'high production' trendy metal, it is ugly music for ugly hearts. We support such 'terrorist' acts as church burning, murder, suicide, hatred of fellow mankind, war and pride ( according to many this is somehow a crime). By listening to and buying BLACK METAL you are not being a part of a trend, you are supporting individuals, bands, labels which support and in some instances commit such terrible actions, ideals and crimes.

We are lucky to live in Tasmania (original called Van Diemens Land), a small island off the southern Australian coast. Tasmania has been said to be one of the last true Anglo Saxon communities in the world. The only condition required for this to become my utopia is for my isle to succeed from, the American worshipping, mainland Australia.

Our small community ethos encourages and keeps our population small (around 450,000 people) and this should always protect Black Metal from becoming too trendy locally (yes, I understand the long term socio-economic effects this will cause, but my personal theories in that field are not hindered by such complications). We benefit from clean air/ water, beautiful wilderness, a colder climate and ultimately a small population. Intolerance and Elitism, the only way for the future!!!

Black Metal is not a trend it is a Cult, those that do not live Black Metal should not listen to Black Metal,
